Annual campdraft takes Yarraman by storm
YARRAMAN was a hive of activity on Saturday as riders from throughout south east Queensland came to test their skills at the annual campdraft.
The campdraft attracted 136 riders in the maiden event and 131 riders in the novice event.
Yarraman Agricultural Society secretary Delinah Rackley said the campdraft event was blessed with good weather, this time.
Rackley said it was a big event for the town of Yarraman to once again host the campdraft.
"It's been twelve months since our last one so it's good to be back and there's been some good riders out there," she said.
"There's a lot of preparation that goes into it so it's great when it runs smoothly."
The Yarraman Agricultural Society will hold a horse ride at the Yarraman Showgrounds on February 2.
