Bird strike causes power outage

A BLACK swan flew into high-voltage powerlines at Brooklands on Saturday morning, causing a power supply interruption to about 600 Ergon Energy customers between Nanango and Maidenwell.

The incident occurred on Darley Estate Rd about 8.45am.

Power was restored to about 400 customers in the southern part of the affected area between 11am and 11.30am by supplying them from another feeder line.

Repairs were completed and power reinstated to customers at the Nanango end shortly after 2pm.
