A TEENAGER has been flown to Brisbane for treatment after he was punched in the back of the head at a fast food outlet early this morning in Kingaroy.

Police said the 19-year-old man fell to the ground after he was punched in the back of the head. 

The incident allegedly happened at 12.10am after the victim and another man were involved in a verbal altercation. 

The man was taken to the Kingaroy Hospital and later flown to Brisbane for treatment. 

A police investigation has commenced and will include police speaking to a number of witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage.
