Emergency services were called out to a multi vehicle crash on the Brisbane Valley Highway early this morning.

The crash occurred at 6.30am, 10km south of Esk and involved three cars.

An ambulance was called out to the scene but was not required to transport anyone with only minor injuries sustained by drivers and passengers.

Police issued a ticket to one of the drivers for following too close and another for an unregistered vehicle.

The scene took two hours to be cleared with traffic flowing through by 8.30am.
