MUNDUBBERA Rugby Union will stage a flood relief rugby match against the Fraser Coast Mariners at Mundubbera State School on Saturday to support the local community's recovery from the floods.

Queensland Rugby will donate a signed St George Queensland Reds match-day ball and 2012 jersey to the fundraising raffle as well as providing over 250 Rookies2Reds merchandise packs to the local children.

All proceeds from the fundraising match will go to the Lions Mundubbera Flood Appeal.

The flood relief match will kick off at 4.30pm when the newly formed Mundubbera Montungas play their first game of their inaugural season.

Members of the community are encouraged to show their support by attending the match. Along with the raffle, plenty of other activities are planned including a barbecue, the chance to sample Tongan cuisine, as well as experience traditional Tongan dance.

To make a donation contact club president Peter Townsend on 0438 433 487.
