A WOMAN in her 30s was sustained suspected internal injuries after her car left the road north of Murgon this morning.

The Sunshine Coast based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter crew was tasked to Booubyjan just after noon.

It is believed the driver was trying to overtake a truck and caravan on a long, straight stretch of road when the accident happened.

Her car came to a stop about 20 metres from the road way.

The patient was treated on scene by Queensland Ambulance Service and CareFlight medical teams before being airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
