1. Star Wars Day
- WHEN: Saturday, 9.30am-3pm
- WHERE: Toowoomba City Library, Victoria St
FEEL the force and prepare for an epic day of Star Wars goodness.
Bring your family of troopers down to the Toowoomba City Library precinct.

All ages are welcome and bookings are essential for some activities, though a huge range of activities will be available for walk-ups.

2. Da Vinci machines
- WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, 9.30am-4pm
- WHERE: Cobb and Co Museum, Lindsay St
ON LOAN from the Museum of Leonardo da Vinci in Florence, Italy, a vast array of machines are created from original da Vinci drawings.
Highlights include the bicycle, the scuba suit, spring powered car, as well as flying machines where visitors may touch and set them in motion, combining a fascinating hands-on experience with an exploration of the principles he employed to create each machine.
3. Kid's Activities at TRAG
- WHEN: Saturday, 10am-4pm and Sunday 1pm-4pm
- WHERE: Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery
SELF-guided children's activities will be spotted throughout the gallery until tomorrow.
The activities are based on the gallery's current exhibitions and will be available for children to enjoy all day during the gallery's opening hours.
The activities are free and no bookings are required.
Children must be supervised by a guardian at all times.
4. Outdoor Family Movie Night
- WHEN: Saturday, 6pm-9pm
- WHERE: Westbrook's Centenary Park
BRING your Family out to Westbrook to watch Despicable Me 3 on the big screen.
Gold coin entry and costs may be charged for snacks.
Bring a comfy chair or rug to watch the movie.
5. Back to school fun
- WHEN: Various times and locations. Visit www.grand centralshopping.com.au for bookings and details.
- WHERE: Grand Central Shopping Centre.
DECORATE your library bag or style-up your shoes at Grand Central Shopping Centre.
Encourage your inner Picasso with these fun back to school workshops and end up with some one-of-a-kind gear to head back to school with.
Youngsters will be guided through the process of decorating their own gear and all materials will be provided.
The bag activity is free and the shoe activity is $10.
6. Chamber music concert
- WHEN: Sunday, 3pm-4pm
- WHERE: Toowoomba Philharmonic Society Hall, Matthews St
THE combined talents of local and visiting musicians from around Australia present César Franck's luscious and beautiful Piano Quintet.
With Leon Stemler on piano, the Egerton family on upper strings and Daniel Holloway on cello, the concert will be a most memorable experience for young and old.
7. Little Legends Bootcamp
- WHEN: Sunday, 9.30am-11.30am
- WHERE: Laurel Bank Park
BRING the kids along for a free Little Legends Bootcamp Session.
The under fives session will run for 30 minutes from 9.30am and the 5-11 year olds is also half an hour starting from 10.30am.
Wear comfortable clothing, joggers/runners, hat, bring a water bottle remember the sunscreen.
You can also sign up on the day for term one of Little Legends.
8. Mini kokedama workshop
- WHEN: Sunday, 2pm-3pm
- WHERE: CUA Community Hub, 470 Ruthven St
KOKEDAMAS date back to 15th century Japan.
Kokedama in Japanese translates to moss (koke) ball (dama) which is exactly what you will make in this workshop, where you will be guided through all the steps.
These low maintenance balls of goodness will bring out your green thumb.
Tickets are $55 and can be found via www.madeworkshops.com.au.
9. Mouse circus
- WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, 9am-3pm
- WHERE: Clifford Gardens, outside Woolworths
JOIN the crew at Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre and its squeaky little friends these school holidays at the Mouse Circus.
Watch as they ride the ferris wheel, walk the tightrope and spin, spin, spin around a variety of wheels.
10. Essential oil workshop
- WHEN: Sunday, 2pm
- WHERE: Angel Cafe
