18 crews battle Wooroolin fire

TWO sheds and 15 acres of grass has caught on fire at a Wooroolin property and 18 crews are working to contain it.

There are 10 urban and eight rural crews on scene or on route working to protect three structures under threat at the property at 16 Oakdean Rd, Wooroolin.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesman said strong wind has caused 15 acres of grass to be involved in the fire.

Smoke may affect residents and motorists in the area. Residents are advised to close their doors and windows and motorists are advised to drivce to the conditions.
