Meredith, 37, pleaded guilty in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court to providing false information to the government.
The court heard Meredith applied for a Commonwealth Government Disaster Relief Fund through Centrelink's online service for not being able to return to her residency in Kawana due to the 2013 floods. She received $3400 on February 14.
Meredith claimed that due to the road closures on Carlton St she was unable to return to her residence.
It was later discovered however that Meredith had lied and that her residence had not been closed to traffic.

She was sentenced to 120 hours' community service and reparation of $2385.28.
