Four killed in late night head-on crash in Victoria

A LATE night crash in northern Victoria has killed four people in a horrifying head-on collision which killed two people from each car.

A Holden sedan and a four-wheel drive smashed into one another on Heathcote Rochester Road at 10pm on Saturday killing two teenagers aged 18 and 19, plus two others aged 52 and 53.

It is the second quadruple fatality on Victorian roads in the past month.

Police said they are investigating allegations the Holden driver may have been drinking at a campsite earlier in the day.
