Half of QLD Health's doctors have moved to new contracts
THE contracts for almost half of all doctors working for Queensland Health have been finalised after the controversial move to individual contracts.
During Queensland parliamentary estimates on Tuesday, the state's health department confirmed 3590 doctors' contracts have been finalised after the shift to individual contracts with local health boards.
Health Minister Lawrence Springborg said there were also further contracts pending for senior medical officers and visiting medical officers.
"They are part of the 8000 doctors we employ across Queensland," he said.
