Team of investigators to help stomp out dodgy aged care

A CRACK team of 150 investigators and support staff will help Australia's new independent aged care complaints commissioner weed out dodgy services.

Rae Lamb, who begins her new role this week, and her staff will investigate complaints relating to Commonwealth subsidised residential or home-based aged care services.

Responsibility for these complaints officially transferred from the Department of Health to Ms Lamb's new statutory office on New Year's Day.

The Aged Care Complaints helpline can be reached on 1800 550 552.
