IT'S hard to believe the Daniel Morcombe Foundation is already marking its tenth anniversary.
Bruce and Denise Morcombe reflected on an emotionally gruelling decade yesterday as the foundation celebrated 10 years of work to improve the safety of children throughout the nation.
"It never ceases to amaze us the number of people over the journey that have come forward," Mr Morcombe said.
"Some have drifted in and out, some have been here for the whole time supporting the foundation, they've got a buzz out of it.
"It's certainly helped us but at the end of the day they've never forgotten Daniel and that's an integral part."
They agreed their biggest achievements were possibly yet to come as they push for the introduction of the Daniel's Law sex offender registry and a national child safety program in the school curriculum.
"It's probably been the main part to get you through. You get up every day and you know that by getting up and you go to a school or you're working on a different project, you know that you're helping children around the country," she said.
Recently back from visiting schools in Tasmania, Mr Morcombe said they were conscious of the need to continue to reinvent themselves and their programs to ensure their child safety message and mediums were ahead of the game.
Programs are already in the pipeline for 2017 and beyond. The Morcombes remain stoic as yet more court proceedings loom.
"I think it's ridiculous - the appeal of the appeal," Mrs Morcombe said.
"It is enormously frustrating. We just want as the public demand, we just want justice for Daniel," Mr Morcombe said.
