Man faces child rape, sexual assault and porn charges
A TOOWOOMBA man accused of raping, sexually assaulting and making child pornography with two young girls in his care has been committed to stand trial on 30 related charges.
The 35-year-old man, who is not named to protect the identity of the two girls, appeared before Toowoomba Magistrates Court by video link from the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre in Brisbane where he is being held in custody.
The charges include four counts of rape involving one of the girls, four counts of indecently dealing with both girls, 11 of involving children in making child exploitation material, 10 of making child exploitation material and one of possessing child exploitation material.
Police claim all the alleged offending took place in Toowoomba between September 29 and November 8, last year.
Both girls were under 12 years of age at the time and in the man's care.

No particular details of the case were aired in court apart from each of the charges being read to the man by Acting Magistrate Roger Stark.
Defence lawyer Kevin Rose told the court it was conceded that there was a prima facie case against his client who consented to being committed to trial.
Asked by Mr Stark if he wanted to enter any pleas to the charges of make any comment, the accused man answered: "No plea, Your Honour."
Mr Stark committed the man to stand trial in Toowoomba District Court at a date to be set by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
There being no application for bail, the man was remanded in custody.
