WATER levels are beginning to drop in Ingham but the town remains isolated after serious flooding yesterday.
The Bruce Highway is still closed in both directions and it remains unclear when it will be reopened.
Local roads throughout Ingham are still inundated with water.
Many residents have taken to the roads the only way they can in their tinnies as some people wade through the subsiding murky water.
The Bureau of Meteorology said major flood levels were slowly easing at Ingham Pump Station and downstream to Halifax but were expected to remain high and above the major flood levels throughout the weekend.
â€œNo significant rainfall has been recorded overnight into Saturday with no significant rainfall forecast for the remainder of the weekend,â€? BOM said in a flood warning this morning.
Some more businesses in town have opened their doors including the newsagency and Majestic Café.
There were a lot of people lining up for a much-needed coffee and bacon and eggs this morning.
Plenty of people are continuing to walk along the railway line to get to the other side of town as Palm Creek remains flooded and flowing.
