Are you Red-dy for South Burnett's newest business?

TAKE-AWAY options for the residents of Nanango are soon to be extended.

The South Burnett's newest business, Red's Fish and Chips is due to open in the upcoming weeks.

The Drayton St business is taking over the premises where previous take away store, Cheap as Chips was.

Manager, Maree Rogalevs said they were focused on being unique and offering something different from what is already offered in Nanango.

"We are going to have dine-in, as well as having a fresh fish display," she said.

Ms Rogalevs said they still had a lot of work to do before their official opening.

"We are half-way through, hopefully it'll be ready next week.

"We have cleaned and painted the inside of the shop.

"We still have to get the safety checks, re-gassing and new furniture."

For the new take-away store, employing and educating our youth is a high priority.

"We want to try to get them into a working program before they leave," Ms Rogalevs said.

"To give them some experience before they go out to the great big world out there."

Red's Fish and Chips will be located at 73 Drayton St, Nanango, next door to Price Busters.
