Australia Post price rise sends stamps up to $1

WANT to send a letter?

That will be $1 thanks.

Australia Post has raised the prices of sending a letter through regular mail from 70 cents to $1.

The change, which came into effect on Monday, comes after Australia Post recorded its first full year loss in more than 30 years in 2015.

Concession card holders still have special access to 60 cent stamps through the free MyPost Concession account.
