Australia's trade services hits $116 billion
AUSTRALIA'S trade in services hit $116 billion, up 4.2% year-on-year in 2012-13, new figures revealed on today.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade report showed services exports from Australia also rose 3.7% to $52.4 billion over the same period.
Big rises were found in exports of services in financial services, professional and management consultants and business travel services.
The biggest winner during 2012-13 was the financial services export sector, up a massive 42.8% to $2 billion in the year to July 2013.
Australia's key export markets also bought more Aussie services, with China buying 7.3% more services from Australia, up to $6.7 billion, and the United States up 5.1% to $5.5 billion over the year.
