UPDATE 10.40AM: HOMICIDE and Rockhampton CIB detectives have finished their forensic examinations at a Norman Gardens home and returned the property to the owner, following the latest search in the double-murder case of Robert Martinez and Chantal Barnett.

Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Knight said he couldn't reveal if anything was found at the Capricorn Crescent address overnight.

However, he said the property was a site of interest in the investigation.

Forensic testing was carried out at the address.

Det Snr Sgt Knight said the owner of the Capricorn Cr property was put in accommodation by Queensland Police Service, while officers were conducting their investigation.

He also said the owner of the house did not have any involvement in the disappearance of Robert and Chantal, as she had only recently bought the property.

UPDATE 6.30AM: ROCKHAMPTON detectives conducted a crime scene investigation at a home in Norman Gardens last night in relation to the double murder of Robert Martinez and Chantal Barnett.

A crime scene warrant was executed yesterday afternoon and into the night at the one-storey home after information had been received in relation to the ongoing investigation, Operation Lima Glitter.

The home had previously formed part of the investigation, which started in 2013 when the pair disappeared. Ownership of the property has changed during that time.

Police have confirmed the current owner has no association or link to the investigation.

In September last year, police declared the case a double murder and found the remains of Robert on a rural property in Port Curtis just one month later.

Chantal has been missing for more than two years now, last seen in March 2013.

Her body has not been found and investigations are continuing.

5.30pm: Operation Lima Glitter moved into a Norman Gardens home today.

Police investigating the disappearance and murder of Robert Martinez and Chantal Barnett, as part of Operation Lima Glitter are at a Capricorn Cresent address after executing a crime scene warrant this afternoon.

A forensic crime scene has been established and the house is under police guard.
