Believe in Christmas again with this family movie night

GRAB your friends and family and head along for some Christmas movie magic this weekend.

The Polar Express will be showing in the Kilkivan Town Hall on Sunday December 16.

The free event will start at 5.30pm, with a surprise visit from Santa at 6pm.

Food will be available on the night, and a bar will be open before the movie starts at 7pm.

In the film, Tom Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis unite again to create a children's holiday classic.

The Polar Express follows Billy who wants to believe in Santa Claus, but finds it difficult with his family insisting the North Pole, and the elves is all just a myth.

On Christmas Eve he learns how to believe again when he is visited by a mysterious train The Polar Express, which promises to take him and the other children to the North Pole.

The train conductor (Tom Hanks) helps the children learn about friendship, bravery, and the spirit of Christmas during their journey to see Santa Claus.

The night will be hosted by the Kilkivan State School P&C and the Kilkivan Touch Football Association.

If the weather is uncertain on Sunday, check the Gympie Regional Council Facebook page to check if the event will go ahead.
