Blackbutt carnival attracts players from across region

GOLF: Players from across the region competed for top honours at Blackbutt Golf Club's men's carnival.

On Sunday, 57 golfers from Murgon, Nanango, Kingaroy, Kumbia, Goomeri, Crows Nest, Goombungee and Biloela played across four grades.

Lionel Worth, from Coonabarabran, was the nett winner on the day.

Kingaroy's Barry Dionysius was the best A-grade player on course finishing on 69 nett and Matthew Burgess from Goombungee was the gross winner with 74.

Playing on his home course, Jim Duff took out the B-grade nett (66) and gross (81) titles.

Rob Donnelly was the C-grade nett winner with 66 and Peter Mohyluk of Kingaroy was the gross winner on 93.

In D-grade, Col Pohlman was the nett winner on 74 and the gross winner was John Woodward of Murgon with 103.
