Blackbutt players team up for success

GOLF: Lionel Worth and Craig Ferguson were the best on the Blackbutt golf course on Saturday taking out top honours in the two-person ambrose finishing on 67.75 nett.

In a field of 38 players, Keith Gerhardt and Morgan McKaskill finished as runners-up with 68 nett on a countback from Bob Holmes and Jenny Scholl.

Pat McGrath was nearest the pin on 5-14 and Bill Boole was nearest the pin on 9-18.

Earlier in the week Terry Tully was the strongest of 12 players on course for the club's veterans stableford.

Bill Wilson finished as runner-up with 39 points and Lionel Worth was third on 38 points

Rob Donnelly was nearest the pin on 5-14 and Bob Holmes was nearest the pin on 9-18.

The club's veterans competition will be played on Wednesday from 9am.

On Saturday, players will be looking to qualify for the McLennan and Dugdell families 4BBB stableford.

The game will start at 11am with seven players to qualify.
