The Block Triple Threat teams deliver their final rooms

THE Block Triple Threat teams breathed a sigh of relief after delivering their final rooms tonight.

All-stars Dea and Darren took out the top cash prize for their perfect terrace.

It was always going to be hard to beat the Melbourne couple, whose apartment at the back of the building had the only backyard space.

"This is total luxury, and I don't think I've ever felt like that about a terrace," judge Neale Whitaker said.

"This is exactly the finishing touch this apartment needed.

"It has totally opened up the proportions and the volumes. This is like a little slice of heaven in South Yarra."

Tim and Anastasia returned to the show after walking off the day before when their budget woes were made public.

The embattled Adelaide couple vowed to donate the show's $100,000 grand prize, if they win, to charity.

"It's been a rough road," Anastasia said.

"Walking off set yesterday gave us an opportunity to sit back and think about the things that we'd done. We're four days away from walking out of this experience and saying 'you know what, we did it'."

Unfortunately their overcrowded terrace got the lowest score of the four rooms and the cash-strapped couple missed out on one of the three prizes on offer.

The judges praised Jess and Ayden for their use of a historic gate from the MCG in their vertical garden.

"It's an interesting terrace for me this one," Whitaker said.

"I feel like Ayden and Jess have let their hair down stylistically out here."

But the Gold Coast parents lost points for "over styling" and an undersized barbecue.

Sydneysiders Josh and Charlotte were the runners up to Dea and Daz, creating a nearly perfect terrace.

"Here they've got the balance perfectly right between simplicity and personality," Shaynna Blaze said.

"It's really hard to fault."

Blaze was also impressed with the practicality of their outdoor furniture, all of which was on wheels for easy changes to the room's layout.

The four apartments will go under the hammer during Wednesday's grand final.
