JOSH and Elyse have come out on top of The Block's battle of the pools.
The renovation young guns managed to pull off the show's first in-ground pool built in just one week.
The judges were blown away with the achievement and the styling of the space.
"I am losing my mind about that pool. I want it," Darren Palmer said.
"This whole space feels luxurious, expensive, high-end.This is a really valuable property."
The planning of their entire space impressed the judges, who declared it the perfect family backyard.
"It's got the three things you need: a fantastic pool, a fantastic barbie and somewhere to enjoy dinner," Neale Whitaker said.
Darren added: "The buyers in this market are looking for everything we're looking at."
Their neighbours Sticks and Wombat finished in second place by just half a point with their family-friendly space.
The judges were impressed at how well the mates used the space, fitting in a shipping container pool.
"I'm looking at the size of the grass there and it's not much bigger than next door but if you look at the footprint it feels bigger," Shaynna Blaze said.
"It feels like the kids can run to the cubby house and play and run around."
Darren added: "They have thought about who is going to buy this house; they may have children, they may want to entertain outside... they've widened their market."
Jason and Sarah finished third with their spacious backyard. While they didn't have the budget for a pool or even a spa, the judges still felt the space felt luxurious.
"It feels like everything that an Australian house wants in a backyard," Darren said.
Shaynna added: "What they've created here is really simplistic zones. It's got a fire pit, a conversation area, the barbecue, the dining; buyers will go 'this is really low maintenance'."
The couple was deducted a point from their score, though, for failing to include their challenge cubby house.
Ronnie and Georgia were shocked to finish fourth after the dramatic negotiations it took to crane in their 10-tonne swimming pool. It was an expensive gamble that didn't pay off.
The judges were impressed with the circular pool, but said it came at the expense of the rest of the backyard.
The couple was slammed for not having an outdoor dining area.
"With a house at this price point you've got to have an outdoor dining space," Neale said.
"It's a total priority and any buyer is going to expect it.
"Visually it works beautifully but functionally it leaves a lot to be desired."
Reno newbies Hannah and Clint finished last, losing points for the planning and layout of their space.
"It's a very big deck but there seems to be something very wrong with the proportions," Neale said.
"Can I draw your attention to the sad corner? Would you want to sit there?"
The judges also slammed their spa, which Shaynna described as '20 years ago'.
"Disco lights and speakers, it's like a bachelor pad or penthouse spa," Darren said. "It's in the back of a hummer spa."
This upcoming week the teams will face their biggest challenge yet. They must renovate an entire studio apartment - including en-suite, wardrobe and stairway - and their garages.
Host Scott Cam came to their rescue last night, giving each team a $25,000 'contingency' boost to their budgets.
