IF YOU head outside right now you can see a rare and red spectacle in the sky.

Right now the moon is drenched in a orange and red colour as part of a syzgy - an alignment of the sun, the Earth and the moon.

At the moment the Earth's shadow is blocking out the sun's light, which causes an eerie colour to be cast over the moon.

The eclipse is set to last for about three and a half hours.
