CHARLIE Grant has been preparing for her own death for a year.

Now in four short days, she will be brutally murdered, just like her two best friends - both killed on January 21, a year apart.

But Charlie doesn't plan on going down without a fight.

And there is one person she wants to investigate the brutal crime, crime hardened detective, and new mother, D. D. Warren.

As D.D. races against the clock to find a lone gunman killing pedophiles in Boston, she must also delve into the murders of Charlie's friends, seeking the common thread to help unravel what kind of person would track down childhood playmates, only to murder them one by one.

Catch Me is compelling right to the last word and the author effortlessly weaves together the back stories of the protagonists and the gritty crime details to achieve this.

She makes you connect with the characters, makes you feel their pain and frustration and hope everyone makes it out alive.

There is just enough intrigue to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Lisa Gardner is a true champion of this genre and Catch Me is a perfect example of her literary talent.
