Bottleshop robbed, attendant assaulted in Goodna overnight

POLICE are investigating after alcohol was stolen from a Goodna bottleshop and the attendant assaulted.

Around 8.45pm three men entered the Brisbane Road business and selected bottles of alcohol which were initially placed on the front counter. The bottles were then taken off the counter by the men who then ran from the store.

The male attendant followed but one of the three stopped and punched him in the head before running off towards Mill Street.

The 28-year-old attendant was taken to the Ipswich General Hospital with facial injuries.

The three men are each described as of African appearance, with two in their 20s and the third believed to be aged in his 30s and 182cm tall.
