Boy, 10, hit by car while on motorbike on highway

A YOUNG boy has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car while riding a motorbike on the Mount Lindsay Highway north of Beaudesert on Tuesday.

The 10-year-old boy was riding a small motorbike along the Mount Lindsay Highway in Gleneagle when it collided with a car near the intersection of Walker Road just after 1pm on Tuesday.

Paramedics arrived on scene and found the young boy conscious and breathing, with injuries to his head, legs and arms.

The Mount Lindsay highway in Gleneagle was closed in both directions.

He was airlifted to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in Brisbane in a stable condition.
