Boy, 13, suffers burns from hot radiator

A YOUNG boy is recovering in hospital with burns to his face, chest and hands from an overheated car radiator.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter and Queensland Ambulance Service were called to a private property at Moogerah, west of Boonah, on Saturday afternoon.

The 13-year-old suffered steam burns to his face, chest and hands when he attempted to put water in the hot radiator of a farm station wagon.

The teenager was treated by the RACQ CareFlight medical team before being flown to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for further treatment.
