Nanango fire being treated as suspicious

UPDATE, 4PM: A FIRE that broke out in Nanango is being treated as suspicious.

Crews are still on the scene at the fire on Bullcamp Rd & Mount Stanley Rd, East Nanango.

Five acres were burnt in the fire, the cause of which is under investigation.

Acting captain Josh Mangan of 464 Alpha A Nanango urban fire crew said the fire had been contained on all fronts.

He said one property was initially under threat but there is now no threat to property.

Crews will continuing burning off to secure the area.

EARLIER, 3.30PM: A GRASS fire has broken out in East Nanango.

Ten crews are on scene at the fire on Bullcamp Rd & Mount Stanley Rd, East Nanango.

Smoke may affect residents and motorists in the area.

Residents should close their doors and windows and keep medication close by if suffering from a respiratory condition.

Motorists should use caution and drive to conditions.
