UPDATE: Patient with serious head injuries airlifted

UPDATE, Sunday 8am: The serious crash is to be investigated by the Forensic Crash Unit. 

 

UPDATE 3:30PM:  All six crews have left the scene after attending to a two vehicle crash in the South Burnett.

A spokesperson confirmed one male patient in his 20s with serious head injuries was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's hospital for further treatment.

The second patient was treated at the scene but presented with no injuries.

 

EARLIER 2.00PM: Six Queensland Ambulance Services are responding to the two-vehicle crash at Chahpingah.

A spokesperson from QAS said one male in his 20s was being treated for serious head injuries.

He said other patients were being treated but didn't have any information at this stage.

Critical care paramedics were at the scene with the rescue helicopter en route to the scene.

 

EARLIER 12.48PM: Queensland Ambulance Service are currently responding to a multiple vehicle crash in the South Burnett.

A spokesman from QAS said they were called at 12.48pm to attend a two-vehicle crash at Kingaroy/Burrandowna Rd at Chahpingah.

He said three ambulances were en route to the site of the accident.
