BREAKING: More than a dozen crews respond to bush fire

BREAKING: Queensland Rural Fire Services are currently responding to a bushfire in the South Burnett.

QFES was called at 2.05pm to a fire at Hodges Dip Rd and Broad Creek Rd, Chahpingah.

There are 13 crews at the scene with another en route as they work towards containing the fire.

At this stage there is no threat to any properties and smoke may affect Chahpingah and surrounds.

If affected, residents are asked to close windows and doors.

Those suffering from a respiratory condition should keep their medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions.

If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call triple-0 (000) immediately.
