Multiple fire crews at Swickers

TWO fire crews were called out to Swickers Bacon Factory today following a smoke alarm that was activated.

A QFES spokeswoman advised at 11.40am on Wednesday morning, the crews attended after a smoke alarm went off.

Firefighters could not locate the cause of the alarm being activated.

They did a thorough investigation of the area and check the area was safe and deemed it was a false alarm.

This comes after the bacon factory had to be rebuilt, following a devastating fire back in 2016.
