Vegetation fire under control amid hot temperatures

UPDATE: A spokeswoman from QFES said the vegetation fire in Kingaroy had been contained.

 The fire had already been put out when crews arrived on scene at 12.33pm.

They spent 20 minutes making the area safe before leaving it in the hands of the property owner along Knight St at 12.50pm.

 

EARLIER: Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are responding to a fire in Kingaroy.

A spokeswoman from QFES said they sent two vehicles to a vegetation fire along Knight St after receiving a call at 12.33pm.

The crews are on the scene foaming out the fire, and there are reports of peanuts smouldering at the site.

She said there was no threat to any properties at this stage.
