MURGON gymnast Bridget Collard has shown great dedication to her sport.
Training three times a week for the past three years at the South Burnett PCYC has honed her into a highly credentialed gymnast at such a young age.
The 12-year-old has achieved a level five in gymnastics after competing at numerous regional championships.
The St Joseph's student competes in a number of events including the uneven bars, vault, floor and beams.
Competition has taken her to places throughout south east Queensland which included competing against the Delta side at Clayfield. Collard explained the process of gaining a higher level of accreditation in gymnastics.
"You have to go to a sanctioned competition and get a certain score on each apparatus and get a certain score to pass each level," she said.
The young gymnast signified the hardest discipline of her competition.
"The beam is the hardest because it's only a very narrow thing and if you fall off it's hard to keep your balance," Collard said.
Collard will be going for her level 6 accreditation after this weekend.
