RUGBY LEAGUE: South Burnett players and coaches are set to benefit from clinics and coaching sessions run by the Brisbane Broncos coaching staff.

The Broncos coaching staff will host a clinic for six to 16 year-old players at Kingaroy rugby league club on Wednesday, March 28 from 4.30 to 5.45pm.

Juniors will have the chance to learn from the coaches who train their idols from the Brisbane Broncos with a focus on improving and developing the players' basic footy skills.

Following the clinic there will be a session for coaches to learn drills and different training approaches.

NRL game development officer for the Burnett and Dalby, Mitch Sargent, said this would be a great opportunity for rugby league in the South Burnett.

"Any education we can get from an NRL organisation is beneficial for the growth of the game,” he said.

"It is good to be able to get the message from these guys that deal with the elite athletes of our game.

"What they are saying at the top is what the junior coaches and junior players need to be doing as well.”

The Broncos coaching staff will be visiting schools on the Thursday and Friday.

For details on how to register visit the South Burnett Rugby League Facebook page and for more information phone Mitch Sargent on 0417466759.
