Bruce Hwy blocked after ute towing caravan loses control

BREAKING: Heavy traffic congestion is being reported in the northbound lanes of the Bruce Hwy on the Sunshine Coast after an incident involving a 4WD towing a caravan.

The 4WD lost control and jackknifed about 2.50pm near Nambour, blocking at least one late of the highway.

Traffic is banking up as authorities work to remove the vehicles and repair damage to the guardrail.

WItnesses are reporting that a blown tyre caused the 4WD to lose control.
