Building quality homes for the cheapest price in the Burnett

PETER Maddock and his local team at Maddock Family Homes can build your house in record times at competitive prices.

Mr Maddock's team dabbles in commercial work, while specialising in new homes.

"We've built probably a couple of homes in the South Burnett. We do a lot of first home buyers homes, right up to big budget, fancy homes.

"On average, we build in under eight weeks from the slab up," he said.

While having the connections and resources to make building an easy process, Maddock Family Homes feels sourcing locally and promoting local businesses is very important.

"If our clients want a house, I've got designs they can pick from, and budgets that will fit in to what they can afford.

"We'll then also help them find land and if they need, help them get finance. We work with a lot of local real estates for this," Mr Maddock explained.

Mr Maddock credits his fast builds and competitive prices to impressive organisation skills.

"We've learnt how to do things, not by using extra labour, but managing the program very well. Everyone is on the job when they have to be there, and we're not waiting a week between trades," he said.

Though the competitive prices start from $120,000 per house, working in construction for over 45 years, Mr Maddock is experienced with large-scale projects, too.

"Anyone can come to us with any design and we can put it together... Our prices can go up to about $10 million," he said.

Originally travelling to oversee Kingaroy Shopping World's extension, Mr Maddock believed the South Burnett would be the perfect place to start his new life and create his business.

"I came up here to do the shopping centre extension, because I was still a project manager and site manager.

"I loved being here so much that I stayed. Nowhere is better than the South Burnett."
