Bulldogs half comes in for City as Sezer pulls out

RUGBY LEAGUE: City and Country Origin both made forced changes yesterday as the effects of a tough NRL weekend claimed Gold Coast five-eighth Aidan Sezer and Cronulla flier Michael Gordon from

Sunday's clash in Dubbo.

Sezer's spot in the City side has gone to Canterbury half Trent Hodkinson who has been in outstanding club form for the Bulldogs, and is a magnificent goal kicker.

Gordon has been replaced by Sezer's Titans team mate and winger Kevin Gordon who has played from fullback this year with William Zillman on the long-term injury list.

St George-Illawarra's Tyson Frizell has joined Trent Barrett's

Country Origin side as 18th man.

The representative clash is a great opportunity for several players like country fullback Josh Dugan and centre Jamal Idris, as well as City halves Josh and Adam Reynolds, to push their Origin causes with NSW coach Laurie Daley still unsure of his line-up to play Queensland in the opening game of the series at Suncorp Stadium on May 28.

With Parramatta gun Jarryd Hayne suffering a shoulder injury at the weekend that is expected to sideline him for several weeks, Daley will be keen to see how Dugan performs up against rising young star Matt Moylan who will be out to make a big impression after a strong start to the season for the Penrith Panthers.
