Burnett man airlifted after serious crash

A MAN has been airlifted in a serious but stable condition following a crash in Windera yesterday.

Two Queensland Ambulance Service crews were on scene at the single vehicle crash on Murgon-Gayndah Rd at 3pm, Wednesday September 19.

A QAS spokesman said the man was initially trapped in the ute, which had crashed into a tree.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crew members were able to free the man from the vehicle.

Paramedics reported the man had head, spinal, abdominal and leg injuries.

The man was transported by a Lifeflight helicopter in a serious but stable condition to the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital.
