Buy a hay bale for farmers
COME along to the Palace Hotel in Nanango to buy a bale of hay for struggling farmers.
The night kicks off at 7.30pm tomorrow, January 18.
It is a great chance to support farmers in need of hay for their livestock, and South Burnett hay farmers.
By purchasing hay you're helping out a farmer in need, as well as those trying to sell their hay.
The money raised will provide farmers in Quilpie, Thargomindah, and Eulo with hay on the fourteenth Burrombuttock Hay Run, set to take place on this year's Australia Day weekend.
There will be live music performed by South Burnett Artist Amber Goldsmith well into the evening for some entertainment.
If you're looking for more ways to support South Burnett farmers stick around for the raffles and other fun money raising activities.
The Buy a Bale campaign was created to help the thousands of struggling farmers across Australia.
"Farmers in Queensland and Northern NSW need our help to keep their cattle, sheep and horses alive through one of the worst droughts in living history and after the cessation of live cattle exports, no wet season and fires,” the Buy A Bale campaign mission statement says.
"Australian farmers are the backbone of our country. For hundreds of years they've fed us all. Now they need our support to keep their cattle alive and the food in our stomachs. Australia if you can help by donating we'll see that they receive the fodder they need and the support to get them through this tough time.”
