Calling volunteers to boost tourism

SOUTH Burnett's resident astronomer James Barclay has volunteered to step behind the camera to help boost tourism in the region.

By capturing the emotion and sound at social, rural, sporting events and tourist attractions across the region he hopes it will encourage more people to experience the South Burnett themselves.

While Mr Barclay is up to the task with his experience working as a freelance journalist, he is looking for members of the community to step up and volunteer their time to make the project as successful as it can be.

"To help out in this exciting project, I'm looking for some keen, video-minded volunteers to assist me,” he said.

"This could be in front or behind the camera, scriptwriting, sound, lighting and editing. Those on the other hand, who do not have those qualities but the zest to learn by doing, is just as important as those who do.”

For more information call James on 0427 961 391 or email mao123@bigpond.com.
