Passengers flee bus as road rage boils over in car park
A TOOWOOMBA woman has been fined and a bus driver is being investigated after a heated road rage incident in a shopping centre car park.
Toowoomba police officer Acting Sergeant Luke Roach has called on witnesses to yesterday's incident to come forward as part of the investigation.
Act. Sgt Roach said the woman, who was driving a black Toyota Corolla, got onto the Route 5 bus in the carpark on the northern side of Toowoomba Plaza about 3.30pm yesterday.
He said passengers fled the bus as the woman and the bus driver became involved in a heated argument.
The woman was issued an infringement notice for public nuisance.
"We are just ascertaining the involvement of the bus driver," Act. Sgt Roach said.
"We just need the version of the witnesses to see if there were any further offences."
He said the woman had taken issue with a traffic incident which occurred just before the vehicles entered the Stenner St car park.
He urged bus passengers who witnessed the incident to contact police on 1800 333 000.
Bus Queensland is investigating the incident.
