THE Kingaroy Christmas Carnival is looking for more sponsors for this year's event.

The carnival will be held from 5-9pm on Thursday, December 14, on Haly St between Glendon and King streets and Kingaroy St between Alford and Haly streets.

The night includes free Christmas-themed entertainment, discounted rides and side show alley, as well as a visit from Santa.

There will also be late night trading from local stores and various market stalls set up.

Committee president Craig Lucas said last year's event was a success and hoped the 2017 event would also be well supported.

"The carnival costs up to $20,000 to run and without the kind assistance from local businesses and community groups, the carnival would not go ahead,” he said.

"We would be delighted to receive sponsorship monies, services or goods in lieu of payment.

"We offer gold, silver and bronze sponsorship packages.”

For more information about sponsoring the event phone Craig Lucas 0455993899 or treasurer Alison L Murray on 0438628392.
