Cash and cigarettes stolen from Beachmere servo

CASH and cigarettes were stolen during an early morning robbery of a Beachmere service station.

Around 5am a man carrying a small axe entered the Beachmere Road business, demanding property from a 25-year-old male console operator.

The man fled on foot with the stolen goods and was last seen running west towards the bush.

No one was physically injured during the robbery and police investigations are continuing.
