Cast a line at Boondooma Open Festival of the Dams

IT'S ALMOST time to pack the fishing gear and stock up on bait for the Boondooma Open Festival of the Dams on May and 19.

The fishing competition will be held at the Boondooma Dam and will offer something for everyone in the family to enjoy while anglers take to the water.

Fishing competitors will compete for more than $25,000 in prizes.

There will also be raffle prizes, including a premium home entertainment system valued at $15,500 for first place.

There will be plenty of activities for children including face painting and jumping castles.

Boutique markets will be held at the Boondooma Dam from 8am to 3pm on both days, and will feature a range of local artisan goods and bric-a-brac.

There will also be a variety of food on offer during the festival, including fairy floss, slushies, food vans and coffee vans.

A fireworks display will cap off celebrations at the Boondooma Open Festival of the Dams.
