Cat women bake for their furry friends

SOME may think eight cats is too many, but for these two cat ladies, it's just the right number.

Vet nurse Ally Caccioppola and Elise Tatnell spent yesterday morning selling cupcakes to raise money for the RSPCA to help cats and dogs in need. The animal lovers have eight cats and three dogs between them and they love the company of their furry friends.

"We are big pet people," Ms Caccioppola said.

Ms Tatnell has had cats since she was a child and loves their personalities.

"I've grown up with them. We always had a cat," she said.

Ms Tatnell adopted some of her four cats, Delilah, Coco, Winston and Archibald, from the RSPCA.

Ms Caccioppola has Poppy, Olive, Paige and Onzlo.

The pair sold more than 150 cupcakes to raise money to help the RSPCA rescue, rehabilitate and re-home animals.
