DRIVERS are being urged use caution at the intersection of Drayton and Fitzroy Sts, Nanango.

Changes to the traffic conditions in Drayton St means it is no longer possible to stop in the centre of the intersection.

A statement released by the South Burnett Regional Council advised drivers the narrow island and angle parking has moved traffic towards the centre of the road and would not allow drivers to stop mid-crossing.

The council has asked all drivers to ensure traffic is clear both ways before proceeding through the intersection.

There are plans to install a roundabout to alleviate the problem.
