CCTV footage catches out alleged thief

MURGON and Cherbourg police officers used CCTV footage to identify an alleged thief in a Murgon business.

A woman entered a business on Lamb St in Murgon and removed an item from a refrigerator about 10pm on December 2.

It is alleged the woman then exited the business without making any attempts to pay for the items.

Murgon and Cherbourg police reviewed the CCTV footage, and a 27-year-old Murgon woman was charged with stealing.

She will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on January 15.
