Two feared dead and child in critical condition after crash

A CHILD has been transported to Murgon Hospital in a critical condition and two people are feared dead after a crash on Barambah Rd near Moffatdale.

According to a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson, the child, along with two other patients, were transported after a crash involving a car and a truck.

Rescue helicopter 511 was tasked to transfer the child from Murgon to Brisbane.

The Courier Mail reported that two others are feared dead.

Queensland Police have asked commuters to avoid the area, though the road is no officially closed.

Paramedics were on scene just before 5pm, when five patients were treated on scene.

The child is being treated for a head injury while the other two patients, and adult and a toddler, sustained minor injuries and are in a stable condition.
